Data we collect and why
Newsletter & membership — If you subscribe, we store your name and email address via Ghost to send you updates and occasional offerings. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email. Subscriber data is also synced to Kit (formerly ConvertKit) for email management purposes. If you have signed up for one of our offerings, your email address may also be shared with Meta in hashed form so we can show you relevant ads on their platforms; you can ask us to exclude you from this at any time.
Purchases — Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your name, email address, and purchase details, which are stored in Kit alongside your subscriber record so we can deliver what you bought and follow up appropriately. We never see or store your card details. Purchase information may also be shared with Meta for advertising measurement (see below).
Analytics — We use Plausible Analytics — a GDPR-compliant, cookieless service that collects anonymised data (page views, referrers) without personal identifiers, IP logging, or cross-site tracking. No consent is required for this and it runs for all visitors.
Advertising — With your consent (see Cookies below), we use the Meta Pixel and Able CDP to understand how visitors find this site and whether our ads led to signups or purchases. This records the pages you visit here and, if you arrived from an ad, which ad brought you. If you decline, none of this runs.
Contact forms — If you submit a speaking inquiry via our form (powered by Typeform), we collect your name, email, and the details you provide, used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Cookies
We ask before setting any tracking cookies. When you first visit, a small banner offers you Accept or Decline:
- Accept loads the Meta Pixel and Able CDP tracking described above, which set a small number of cookies used for advertising attribution.
- Decline loads nothing, and we remember that.
Either way, your choice is stored in your browser so we don't ask again. To change your mind later, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will reappear. Embedded forms may store temporary session data locally in your browser for functionality only.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time, and to withdraw any consent you've given. Email hey@annevmuhlethaler.com to exercise these rights.
Your controls
You can decline tracking via our consent banner, block scripts via browser settings or privacy extensions, or adjust your ad preferences directly with Meta. Plausible respects Do Not Track signals.
Updates
We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance.
