Hey, I'm Anne (V), thanks for being here.
I help people understand what matters most to them by looking at the stories of their lives and finding the moments that show what they stand for. Then we turn those discoveries into resonant narratives that help them connect with and move the people they want to reach.
I spent 17 years at Christian Louboutin, moving between retail, wholesale, PR, general management and global communications as we grew from a small business into a globally recognised luxury brand. Throughout those years, stories were one of the most powerful levers I used. Working closely with Christian and with people across the business gave me an intimate understanding of who he was, what he stood for, what we were creating and why it mattered. My job was to relate those stories so that people could connect with the man, his work and the brand. That was true when I worked on the shop floor, just as it was when I worked with buyers, the press and, later, CEOs of department stores.
That's why storytelling sits at the core of the work I do with founders, creatives and leaders. Just as I did with Christian, I help them uncover the meaning in their experiences, careers and the small moments of their lives, revealing something of who they are, what they value and why they do what they do.
Together, we shape those stories into messaging and strategy that can carry that meaning out into the world, so the people they want to reach can understand what matters, feel why it matters, and perhaps be moved to act.I tend to be called upon when the vision is felt internally (strange but true), not yet coherent in narrative, strategy, or structure. My advisory work always starts with foundations including but not limited to business objectives, values, and intention.
I sometimes think of my role as that of a midwife (funny given that my father was an OBGYN). I see what's trying to emerge and help bring it to life. Another way of putting it is that I help people see the value in their own experiences, and find ways to communicate that value to others.
My years in business have given me a broad perspective and an extensive toolkit. I've also trained as a coach, facilitator, and mindfulness teacher. I've taken mulitiple courses on the writing craft and storytelling, including in public narrative to help leaders move minds, heart and hands. I draw on all of it to help my clients explore what matters to them, recognise what their experiences reveal about who they are and what they stand for, and turn that understanding into communication and strategy that can move their ambitions forward.
My superpower? A finely tuned nervous system and a knack for asking questions that get to the heart of what matters to you. I guide you to unearth key moments from your life, discover what they reveal, and shape those stories into something unmistakably yours, so you can communicate who you are, what you stand for and what you do in ways that resonate with the people you want to reach.
What I do
The brands, founders, leaders, and creatives who come to me want to navigate the space between their inner knowing and their outer expression with more ease. Most arrive because the outer has become hard to grasp: the messaging isn't landing, the strategy feels off, the communication isn't resonating, the results are suffering.
Communication, as most people think of it, is an external action — what I call surface work. My practice goes deeper. Because you can't build a house without strong foundations. With me, you start with digging: exploring the quality of the ground below, learning the terrain, getting to know the raw materials. These are essential to what gets built. And what we dig out doesn't get ignored or thrown out, it becomes part of the external architecture too. That's what makes the final expression and its strategy unmistakably yours.
Inner first, then outer. One makes the other possible.
How I work
Connection doesn’t start with messaging. It starts with coherence.
I work with people and organisations who want their communication to feel true – not persuasive, not performative, but grounded in who they actually are and what they envision.
My role is to create the conditions for that clarity to emerge. We start by going inward and back, looking beneath the surface: intention, values, assumptions, and direction. From there, expression becomes more natural, expansive even.
I draw on coaching, facilitation, mindfulness practices, and solid business experience. I work one-on-one and in groups, and love to use workshops as a medium that taps into collective intelligence and reveal what’s already present but not clearly articulated.
The result isn’t louder communication. It’s communication that resonates.
How I got here
After I set off on my own in 2017, I couldn't help to notice: I could craft business and brand strategy for days, develop any brand's story, but I was terrible at talking about myself. That gap, between professional competence and self-presentation led me to the kind of coaching and advisory today. I began to write about it, making my challenges public, and it's the combination of authentic storytelling, communications expertise and this knowing of what it feels like when self-expression is excruciatingly hard, that brings a specific kind of client to my doors.
In 2019, I made my own big move, or rather one of many big moves. I signed up to train as a mindfulness meditation teacher, with no idea how much it would change my life. I trusted that this was the path for me. That decision has re-shaped me, turning me into the guide and facilitator who trusts the call when I see it in someone else.
My coaching clients are like me: they feel that need to bridge the gap between who they are and how they express themselves. Which is why they trust me when I say that powerful communication needs to be grounded with inner work first. In essence: you have to know who you are, and what you stand for, before you can figure out what to say and how to say it.
My background spans two decades in luxury fashion, from retail and operations through PR and global communications — eventually becoming Christian Louboutin's first head of Global Communications. A certified coach. A mindfulness and lovingkindness meditation teacher, trained through the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Programme with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. Additional training in Anusara yoga, wise speech, nonviolent communication, somatic work, and the shamanic traditions my teachers pointed me toward. The blend between strategic business thinking, contemplative practice, and the deeper work of meaning-making is what makes my practice so distinctive.
From Global brand communications to Story of You
I speak, write, and research on Story of You: the work of aligning who you are with how you communicate. Through Le Trente, my hybrid social learning studio, I facilitate workshops, masterclasses, curate online and in-person salons with guest contributors, host two podcasts (Out of the Clouds and The Mettā View), and publish regular writing on story, identity, authentic communication and the future of work.
I process most of my thinking through writing — not in brainstorming sessions or speaking off the cuff, but on the page. My newsletters aren’t "content" (I really dislike that word); they’re my actual practice, made public. I'm sharing the joys, the troubles, the explorations, in a bid to connect with you (if you so wish) through consistent, thoughtful presence and the willingness to show your thinking as it develops.

Story as a meaning-making and healing
As I've discovered for myself, the more work you do on your own narrative, the more inner clarity you find, the more purposeful and connected to yourself you will feel. Story coaching, narrative coaching, brand clarity work: all of this is powerful work, not self-indulgent exploration. It isn't work you do in place of changing the world. It's one of the ways the world actually changes.
That's why I love doing what I do. Helping someone find resonance in themselves is my contribution to spreading fairness and kindness in the world — because it's how light travels through a network.
It's also the belief my work rests on, and the belief my best clients tend to share: this work isn't only for you. If that resonates, we'll likely work well together.
Kind words from former clients
"I worked with Anne, both as a personal coach as well as on brand development. Anne has the unique ability to almost act like a human mirror.
She is able to comprehend the essence of a person or project and reflect it back in a way that allows one to see it clearly for oneself. This understanding creates the basis of her work and allows one to act with a clear vision and understanding of ones values, strengths and goals." Hanna Fiedler, founder at Hanna Fiedler
